Welcome to the music section…
I want to spread the Soul word.. I want people to be able to sample this fantastic genre of music to help them decide what records to buy or what compilation CD’s they want to purchase. As you can appreciate, these music files are only a sample… the quality is very compressed and low so if you like what you hear, go buy the record or the CD. I can quite happily advise where to buy either.

Thank you for being such a great ambassador of Soul music.
We’re thankful you put up so many wonderful songs on your database. All the record collectors have picked the bins clean here in LA – so it’s great to have a listen on your site when we can’t afford the night out.
Also, I couldn’t have made our myspace songlist without your site because our player only works with mp3 format.
Thanks again Karen. Much respect.
Warmest Regards,
Jake
PS in the last two years, we’ve gotten a lot of the old faithful back together. Also Tommy Potts, Mike Umholtz and Greg Belson have been superb.
Cheers, and happy holidays.

I love Northern Soul. And am so happy I ran into your website…I almost cried listening to all your tunes.
I’m a Christian independent artist in the states and the scene here is…well there is no scene the part I’m from. And its like Soul music is really underestimated and underappreciated esp. with the young folks. So I like to go on your site cause I feel like theres actually people who like what I like cause I’m not into indie rock-screamo/hardcore or the hyphy hip hop. Even the gospel stuff on the radio doesn’t really gives me the dosage of soul I want. I’ve been deprived.
Anyways, you can check out my stuff. I think you’d like “Shake The Devil Off” and “Jesus You’re All I Need” both heavily influenced by my love for Northern Soul on:
myspace.com/hearsaane
Hope ya dig it!
Blessings. <3

You don’t need any new moves… you just get on the dance-floor and the music takes you there

Hi Karen,
Outstanding site! Loving the jukebox, but now I hold you solely responsible for keeping me awake until silly o’clock revisiting some old faves and discovering some absolute pearlers (It’s Not Unusual by Marvin! Who knew?!). Keep up the good work babe, you’ve made an old man very happy!
Best of British,
Fixit.

hi Soulgirl,
i was wondering if you have David Ruffin’s “Knock You Out (With Love)”, which was the b-side to “Mr. Bus Driver (Hurry!)” from 1962. I am in a desperate need to hear it.
Many thanx & best wishes!!

Hi Karen,
Greetings from sunny Spain
STILL LOVING YOUR SITE!!! Would you by any chance have ‘Your all I need to get bye’ by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrel, in my opinion the best male female duo ever (rest in peace both of you).
Keep on keeping the faith and enjoy your boat (hope you can swim!!!)
Cheers,
Geoff

I’m pretty sure I do have that but currently my main PC is packed away as I’m in no-mans-land right now waiting for my new abode to be completed. Send me an email at the beginning of December as I should be installed by then
