ARS London 2003 Meet

My journey started at around 10am as I had to get to PeterB's house by 1ish. Having got lost (no surprise there then) I eventually arrived around 1.30. I met his Mum and Dad who were lovely and then we both set off in anticipation of finally meeting the rest of the guys from ARS who were all waiting at a London Pub location.

The tube journey was passable but the young lad puking so early in the day from too much drinkies was rather unpleasant! Upon entering said pub, most of the others were already there - Peter and I were fashionable late :o) Lots of fun and jollies ensued whilst we all got to know one another and needless to say we all drank for England. We must have stayed at this location till gone 6 I think and then Demento herded us all together for a trip across London to Elbow Room, a really funky Pool Hall. We laid down a deposit for a table but when we had been there an hour, and there were still 4 tables in front of us, we gave up and went in search of food.

We stumbled across a posh Indian place that was totally deserted and after haggling a free bottle of wine we all entered and sat down for our fiery feast. Mine was bloody hot but great food. (Bum wasn't so happy the following morning!).

After lots of food, fun and laughter we all headed back to the Tube to go home. Demento managed to fall over I think as he suddenly sprouted a nasal injury?? PeterB's was the final destination where I was to lay my very drunk and weary head. Also staying were BlackHex, Chikkolata and arha.

I was first to get up in the morning and after thanking PeterB's Mum, silently left this leafy suburb of London for the drive home - it was 7.30am. Impressive or what? I was home by 9.45 to find that lightening had struck our NTL junction out in the street so have had no broadband or TV all day!!

Thanks for a great 24 hours lads and lasses - it was truely memorable. And PeterB, stop walking into trees and tripping up... and that was before a bevvy LOL.
