It’s Thursday and yet it feels like ‘no-day’. Already I’ve been unemployed for around 6 weeks now and I’m thinking I should be securing employment LOL. And no, I’m not claiming any benefits so I’m true to my historical complaints about benefit scroungers LOL.

I touted a local private hospital offering my services today so hopefully I’ll hear back from them when a vacancy occurs. I’m the perfect candidate after all.

My own medical ailment was attended to today. Having had to make a pointless appointment with my new GP, only for her to agree with me that osteopathy was required, was a necessary step indicated by the terms and conditions of my medical insurance policy. Gratefully received and accepted as part of my redundancy package! 6 months of continued cover… so, when I got a ‘clonky’ shoulder, grinding neck and numb/tingling/blood loss right arm/hand I thought it was time to take advantage of my gift.

The Osteopath didn’t do what I expected! I was expecting manipulation, cracking neck joints and pain. I got one hour of her placing her hands here, there and everywhere. On top, underneath, around… in the end I asked ‘what can I expect from this session?’ She said although it didn’t feel as though she was doing anything it was my body that was doing all the work. I laid there in my underwear, half naked and vulnerable, wishing I’d worn knickers that weren’t adorned with sponge bob. I was sceptical as per usual. Know what? Absolutely no numb right hand at all this evening! Placebo perhaps.. but placebos are fantastic if they work :D

Now, guess what I’m sucking on this evening? What? How dare you! I’m sucking on an electronic cigarette! It’s great! It’s like smoking a real cigarette but without the tar, arsenic, cyanide and thousands of other toxins… just good old nicotine that smokers are controlled by. The good thing about an electronic cigarette is that you inhale vapour (water and nicotine) but none of the carcinogenic elements apparently.

Interestingly enough today, only one day after I’d bought one, the BBC ran a story. From what was reported I’d worked it out for myself that the tobacco/cigarette manufacturers had tainted and bought the words of so called professionals. Sweet fucking bejesus. Do they think we are so stupid? Yes, we are! That’s why we’re following twats much like those that believe in the Bible follow Jesus. Politics is a modern day Jesus. Control and money making… that’s all most people are interested in.

It’s more than obvious that tobacco growers and manufacturers of cigarettes, cigars and other smoking paraphernalia really need to block the advertising and sale of electronic cigarettes. A story today on the BBC reported a somewhat flimsy rebuff on the e-cigs. Flimsy yet orchestrated no doubt. I’ve smoked for 40 years… that’s akin to being a slave for 4o years… what a stinky waste :D
